Sunflower WIFI was founded by me, Brian Cardinale, after searching for similar cloud based hotspot management systems and finding some lacking features and others having security holes in them. I am passionate about information security so the latter was something I was not able to ignore or to accept.
I have always admired the power of WIFI and other wireless technologies. I find them fascinating. This admiration, armed with my knowledge of software engineering and information security best practices created Sunflower WIFI.
While building the initial versions of Sunflower WIFI, I kept seeing a reoccurring theme. Storefronts and restaurants were desperately trying to get customers to follow their business on social networks! I saw signs on windows and table tents asking for “likes” and “follows” and to post pictures. It seemed natural to ask on their WIFI as well! It was determined here that Sunflower WIFI’s focus would be to help business’s get noticed in a busy world!
